Kebetulan dengan cuti umum sempena Krismas last friday, kami sekeluarga konvoi beramai2 ke tg malim lepas sembahyang jumaat, menerima undangan bekas jiran selorong kami yang berpindah ke sana masa raya haji yang lepas. seperti biasa dia orang buat bbq kambing lagi. anak2 pun seronok dapat bersama2 kawan.

Ok, just down the road from Fox Glacier is a lake called Lake Matheson which is famous for reflecting the mountains that surround it. Its about a 10Km hike around the lake, but coming up to sunset its nice way to relax after spending the morning and afternoon hiking on the glacier. ika and i went to kapas island last week..ika decided to take a break from her superhectic job schedule..the actual plan was to stay there for 2 days 1 night..the package was inclusive of accomodation, 3 meals, snorkelling, and return boat transfer..RM160 per pax..not bad..on the day of arrival, the weather was sunny, the sky was blue and the breeze was sepoi- sepoi bahasa hehe..we went for a stroll and photoshooting at around 3pm and went for a snorkelling trip thereafter.. the moment we soaked ourselves... Floating houses of Tonlé Sap.. everything happens in this river... washing, cooking, bathing and sanitation. Only at Tonlé Sap I can really appreciated that every drop of purified clean water are so precious to the people here and only for drinking if they can afford them. :-( Mineral water are mostly for sale to tourists.

The office applied for 4WD training to mentally, physically prepare us face the roads in Maliau Basin. Our Chairman decided to visit Sabah for some launching programs, and visit Maliau Basin, the Lost World this time around.
As soon as we arrived at the training spot for 4WD, we already had to put on the 4WD gear and crossed a river (as high as the car itself...and thank God the cars were the office's! phew).. Some of the cars didn't made it to crossing the river... luckily I managed to do just fine..
